1960s/70s anti-drug poster "is this gang worth dying for?" by smartset smarteen s.o.s cotton canvas tote bag "Published around the time of Nixon’s declaration of the war on drugs, this poster was produced by Smart Set International, a student and teen-led organisation that aimed to promote an anti-drug message from a teenage perspective. To that end, the “Smarteens” (as they became known) formed groups that pledged never to use drugs and adopted the motto “SOS - Stamp Out Stupidity”, though in this poster the motto seems to have evolved into “Speak Out Sensibly”. Smart Set published thousands of posters with dozens of unique designs between 1967 and 1972 targeting marijuana, LSD, heroin and even cigarettes and alcohol."
